Mischa Repman
Mischa is a senior risk manager in Swiss Re's sustainability team. He leads the work on carbon accounting and target setting for insurance-associated emissions and he oversees the fossil fuel part of the Group's ESG risk framework. In his previous role in the internal environmental management team, Mischa led the CO2NetZero Programme following the motto "Do our best, remove the rest" (see net-zero explainer video).
Mischa sits in the board of the Zurich Carbon Market Association and in the expert advisory group of the Science Based Targets Initiative's net-zero standard for financial institutions.
Before joining Swiss Re in 2018, he held positions in climate consulting, including for UNDP on de-risking renewable energy investments, and in academia. He has an MSc in environmental physics and a PhD in process engineering, both from ETH Zurich, where he is a guest lecturer on carbon removal to this day.
